JENNY JONES 

Jenny has been manager of Wem Playmates Nursery since 2000 and had lots of experience in childcare. She is also the Safeguarding Lead and is SENCO trained. Jenny is never in the same room, she does everything!! from helping out with the children, to mopping the nursery.

KATIE COPNALL

Katie is the voice at the end of the telephone, she has worked at Playmates since 2015.

Kate is the adminstrator and is responsible for the day-to-day running of the office.

JANET EVANS

 Janet is the Deputy Manager at Playmates and is the Room Leader of the Crawling Caterpillars Room. Janet has 24+ years experience and is Level 3 E.Y.E Qualified.

SOPHIE ROBERTS

Sophie began her journey at Wem Playmates over ten years ago when she completed her NVQ Level 3 in childcare. 

She left to start a family, but returned to Playmates a few years later, and now works in the Crawling Caterpillar Room.

KERI NICHOLSON

Keri has worked at Playmates for over ten years now and currently works in the Crawling Caterpillars Room. Keri is qualified at NVQ Level 2. 

CLAIRE PEARCE

Claire joined the team in 2022 and currently works in the Crawling Caterpillars Room. Claire has over 20 years’ experience in childcare and has a NNEB Diploma.

ROSIE WILDE

Rosie is a member of the Crawling Caterpillars Room. She is just starting her NVQ level 3 in Childcare.

Rosie is a member of the Crawling Caterpillars Room and has been at Playmates since 2021.

KASIA WOLARSKA

Move position and update bio to – Kasia is a member of the Crawling Caterpillars room, she originally joined us to cover maternity leave but soon became a permanent member of the team.

SALLY MORTIMER

Sally has also been at Playmates for over ten years, she is the Room Leader of the Busy Beehive Room and has a NNEB Diploma.

KAREN BUTLER

Karen has worked at Playmates for several years and currently works in the Busy Beehive Room where she fits in just perfect. She has over 20 years experience and is also NVQ Level 3 Qualified.

SAMANTHA BUTLER

Sammy has worked at Playmates for 2 years and she currently works in the Busy Beehive Room. She is NVQ Level 2 qualified. Sammy is also Karen’s daughter.

JESS STEVENSON

Jess has worked at Playmates for just over a year now. She is a one-to-one support worker for children with Special Educational Needs.

FFION SILVESTER

Ffion is the youngest member of the team; she joined us straight from finishing school. She works in the Busy Beehive Room and has just completed her apprenticeship. Ffion is hoping to start her NVQ Level 3 qualification soon.

EMMA ROBERTS

Emma is a qualified teacher and has been at Playmates since 2021. She is the Room Leader of the Penguin Paradise Room.

KARA BERQUEZ

Kara has worked at Playmates since 2022, and has just returned to work after being off on maternity cover. Kara has a Level 3 Diploma and is currently working in the Penguin Paradise Room.

CARLY FREEMAN

Carly started at Playmates in 2020, she currently works in the Penguin Paradise Room and is NVQ Level 3 Qualified. Carly has worked in childcare for around 13years.

KATE DROMGOOL

Kate is a Qualified Early Years Teacher with 13 years of Special Educational Needs experience, she joined us in 2019 after leaving Severndale Specialist Academy. Kate is the Room Leader of the Lion’s Den and she is also Jenny’s daughter.

HAILEY WILSON

Hailey started here at Playmates in 2017 and is a member of the Lion’s Den Room. Hailey completed her NVQ Level 3 Qualification whilst at Playmates.

DENISE WINTER

Denise is a one-to-one support worker for children with Special Educational Needs, she has many years’ experience and lots of qualifications in this area. Denise has an NNEB Qualification and is also a Regional Makaton tutor.
